Well that’s how it feels when you work really hard for something for weeks just to have some bully kick sand in your face in the end. Yeah, we most likely will not be launching tonight and that sucks. I guess it goes with the territory when you’re a small start up. All of your photos are safe and your blogged photos will still work. We just need to stop this attack before we will be able to go back online.

Sorry to all of you and we’ll still be down here at 365 Brannan St. tonight talking about Zooomr. Come on down and enjoy a beer with us. We will be back and a lot stronger when we can and in the end as a wise man once said, “that which doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.”

I just met with Yuval Koren, CEO of Eye-Fi, a start-up that has created a SD card that can automatically upload images from your camera directly to the internet using a normal Wi-Fi network. Everything is self-contained on the card (SD right now, but they are working on Compact Flash version as well), including the wireless antenna. The idea is that the photos will be uploaded to a central server that then hooks into your favorite photo service, like Flickr, etc. Yuval showed me a realtime demo while we were meeting at Farley’s and it was quite impressive. Here are a few photos.

If you look at this office, there isn't much paper in it. On my desk I have three screens, synchronized to form a single desktop. I can drag items from one screen to the next. Once you have that large display area, you'll never go back, because it has a direct impact on productivity.
