I have been photographing Carl for over 2 years now and he remains one of my favorite subjects, people, in the City of Pittsburgh. Today was a brutal day to be out on the street, damn cold and no real way to stay warm. But Carl knows that if he's gonna get by he needs to panhandle on Penn Avenue, as he was doing this morning. That smile of his warms the soul though on such a chilly day outside.
