It has been
awhile since I last wrote because I am working now and I
have a two hour daily commute. My four week AccounTemps
assignment was extended to three months to January 31 so we
are pleased here.
Several weeks ago Danielle's new doctor change her
medication with a new diagnoses. Her moods improved almost
immediately, but soon she was complaining about a sore bad. A
week ago Friday it was really hurting her as Paulette noticed she was
walking with a slouch. By Sunday night she could hardly move
so Paulette decided it was time to go to the emergency room again.
We had to help her down the stairs and outside to the car.
When I arrived at the car she was leaning against
it with a Terry Shiavo look on her face. As we drove
to the hospital she began crying in pain.

When we arrived,
she had what we thought was a stroke in the lobby.
The nurses put her on a gurney and she saw a doctor within
minutes. Last time we were there it took two hours to see a
doctor. It turned out she did not have a stroke but a
reaction to the medication. She is now on a different Rx and
doing great. The bill came to $3200 of which we paid only
$100.
This morning when I picked up Danielle's friend Kelsy I stopped for
gas. Danielle asked for so money for treats. When I
asked "How much"? she said "Five dollars just to be safe".
Safety first, that is what I always say. I told her
I used to go the the movies for a quarter but she wasn't impressed.

Christmas
day slow here. Katie is in Reno for another week so
it was just the three of us.
The
dogs love to spend time in the front yard. Sam and Buttercup
were so comfortable they began roaming the street. One day a
women found them out there and returned them to us. Friday
Paulette could not find Sam so she decided I needed a PetStop system
for Christmas. Fifteen years ago I was walking our
dog without a leash when he was hit by a car and killed.
I still hear about that.
The PetStop system consists of a buried boundary wire and a collar.
When the dog approaches the wire she hears an audible sound
two feet before she gets a static charge to the neck. During
the first two days of training we took the dogs up to the line and when
we heard the sound we quickly pulled the dogs back towards the house.
On Sunday we added the static charge. It was like
the dogs walked into a plate glass window. They do not even
want to go near the line now. We will continue with the
leashes for several more days. The only concern we have now
is they could chase an animal through the barrier. If that
happens the dealer will come out and help us retrain the dogs.
I joined the Atlanta Flickr group. They are
photographers who live in Atlanta and use the Flickr photo sharing
service. We go on photo strolls and then post our pictures on
Flickr. The group is very active. We had a
Christmas party two weeks ago. Later this spring we might fly
to Washington DC for a same day trip. That will be great fun.
As you can see I have gained 40 pounds in the last two years.
It is time I do something about that.
